“Gilding the Lily, Willy, Chilly” 12 x 14” oil pastel and collage
This piece was once adorned in red chili peppers, it was for Sonoma State Art from the Heart auction. It did not sell. Nor did it age well. What you can’t see is that I used silver oil pastel to gild the lily. And of course, the title was based upon that rather bad pun. Maybe I should’ve said geld the lily.
